帕劳 SDA School System has 2 schools. The elementary school has about 240 学生s to the south on Koror island. The high school is further north in Airai and has about 120 学生s. The two schools are a 20 minute drive apart. 帕劳 is known to be one of the world’s best diving locations with the options to dive with manta rays, among wreckage from WWII, or along the outer walls of the barrier reef. Jellyfish Lake is one of 帕劳’s most famous attractions where tourists can go swim in the lake with the millions of golden jellyfish.

语言 帕劳an is the local language spoken on 帕劳. However, all teaching is done in English and most locals also speak English.
时间轴 Full year and semester options are available. The call typically begins at the end of July or the beginning of August. There is a required training in Hawaii at the beginning of the school year. School ends the last week of May and the SMs usually leave a few days after senior graduation.

Volunteers are responsible for their own food. The school also has a cafeteria that provides meals for $3 a meal. There are two main grocery stores in Koror. The restaurants mainly serve a variety of Asian and American food in addition to fish. There are vegetarian options available at the stores and restaurants.

Student missionaries live in apartments on the high school campus. Anywhere from 2-4 people live in each apartment with air conditioning. The kitchen comes with a stove, oven, fridge, sink, and necessary dishes and appliances. The bathrooms have a shower, toilet, and sink. Bedrooms are supplied with beds, mattresses, drawer space, and closets. There is a washer and dryer in a separate area for the SMs to use.
